Ascend Atlanta
Ascend Atlanta is our first program launched in 2017 to provide a small business support ecosystem for minority-led companies throughout Metropolitan Atlanta. JPMorgan Chase & Co. launched this initiative in partnership with Morehouse Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, Tech Square Labs, Village Micro Fund, Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs, and Atlanta Wealth Building Initiative.
Impact
In 2021, we accomplished the following:
- Supported 20 minority-owned small to midsize businesses
- Implemented a 9-month management education curriculum which consisted of bi-weekly sessions with subject matter experts and successful entrepreneurs centered on rebuilding from the impacts of the pandemic, restoring their business operations, and rethinking the path to business success in the future.
- Provided back-office team of service providers and 1:1 consulting in the areas of: Legal, Digital Marketing, Business Development, Accounting, E-commerce, Human Resources
